Cordele Metal Works, Inc. traces its history in the metal fabrication business with a progression of ownership dating back to 1894 with its beginnings as a small Tinner's Shop. Today our facility covers an entire city block with over 45,000 square feet under roof.
Historically speaking, sheet metal fabrication for Cotton Gins has been a significant customer base for our sheet metal welding/metal fabrication group. Blow Pipe, Exhaust Lines, Lint Slides, Elbows, Slips, Transitions, Taps, Splitters, Blow Boxes, and various Cyclones are built and repaired to specification right here in our facility. Our staff often assist in field measurements for replacement parts and new equipment, as well as offering support in the proper sizing of air lines and flow requirements for modifcations.
CMW, Inc. also offers vast experience in other agri-businesses related to the peanut market. We offer welding/metal fabrication for warehouse ventilation systems, material handling equipment, custom chutes, & hoppers, as well a guards and ancillary safety systems for this industry and others.
Georgia Stair & Rail was absorbed in 2008, bringing many years of experience in the stair & rail and structural steel industry. We supply steel stairs and exterior stair railings for projects throughout the southeast. Today, this is one of CMW's largest markets.
CMW, Inc. aquired the assets of an existing machine shop in 2007 and offers machine work to our customers as well.
